This year local charity, The Shuttlewood Clarke Foundation is celebrating its 20th anniversary and on 9th,10th and 11th of September they are holding ‘September Crafts & Flowers’ at Ulverscroft Manor. Please find details on page 6 and visit this ‘gem’ within our ‘forest’ and support the fundraising for their invaluable community work.
Saturday 11th September is National Heritage open day. You can visit a National Trust property for nothing... see our article on page 24. Many churches will be open, as it is the Historic Churches Trust ‘Stride and Ride Day’. See our article from the Thurcaston & Cropston Heritage Warden for details of activities there.
